Day Or Night?

Shobhaa De also attended the Polo Cup in Dubai. She wore a chikan top with a crushed cotton skirt in the day time and a beige/gold saree in the evening. Which look do you prefer? For me it is the saree all the way...

Similarly...

Spotted Karishma at the Cartier Dubai Polo match held this week. Her look seems to have repeated (read same glasses, same Gucci, similar nulti-coloured-black-base dress) but I am not complaining yet. It suits her. What say?

Black Or White?

Who do you think wore her dress better? Arpita in a black version with a silver Fendi bag and silver shoes or Lara who added a belt to bling up the outfit a bit?

What Were They Thinking??Rajasthan Royal Bash

At the Rajasthan Royal Bash, here's what I notice:
Shilpa Shetty has assumed the position of a Christmas Tree - a gold and blingy one. After wearing such a bold-coloured long dress, she opted for golden jewellery, golden shoes and a golden clucth!! Is this some sort of an omen to earn all the moolaah at the IPL ;) ? I am so blinded by the gold that I hardly get to notice Raj Kundra next to her!

Next on the list is sister Shamita who wore a green outfit. Now if I use the same symbolism for omens - green means money too...and it signifies making your opponent turn green with envy?? Heck even a Christmas Tree is green to start with!!
Anyways, the colour is not as bad as the silhoutte. What's with the curtain drape inspiration here? And the furry bag is certainly inspired by Ms.Mafatlal's! (who owns the same one in 2 colours!). I am also wondering maybe she chose the furry shoes to go with the furry bag??

And then there was Ila Arun who was trying real hard to match everything - from top to bottom! See now you know why her sandals are pink, blue and black in colour!

Amrita's Nikaah Ceremony

Amrita Arora's Nikaah ceremony saw these girls in lehengas and the men went ethnic too. As stated before, Amrita wore a Vikram Phadnis outfit for this occasion, Malaika wore a Shantanu and Nikhil and Kareena a Manish Malhotra.
I think all the men looked dapper (only hitch being that Saif should've ditched those glasses!) , while Amrita could've done with some more jewellery like sister Malaika (loved her 'mang tika' and 'baju band'!). Amrita's choice of colour also could've been brighter since it was her special day. Both Kareena and Malaika looked good with lots of bangles and 'mang tika' ofcourse. Karishma chose to go simpler with diamonds and a chikan work lehenga. Though the work on it looks exquisite, if only it was in a bright colour, it would've suited the occasion perfectly. Have a look-see and give me your views!

Repeater

Farah Khan chose to wear the same black and gold outfit she wore at the FHM Style Awards. Do you still like the dress as much?

Ladies in Sarees

Amrita's official Sangeet party at night at Aurus, saw everyone in Indian attire. Have a dekkho.
Farah and Katrina chose lacy pastel hues for their saree, and paired it with chandelier earrings, deep neck sleeveless blouse and open hair.

Priyanka chose a blue Manish Malhotra saree and frankly I don't dig this much. After seeing some great stuff from this man, this one is a turn off. And well the saree doesn't suit the occasion either. The colour is looking sooo dull on Priyanka!

Sangeeta Bijlani wore a bright red and black saree with a huge nec piece and earrings. Must I say she dazzled at the event!

Diya Mirza also wore a light blue saree with gold work, earrings, sleeveless blouse, open hair - and well she looked nice!

Aditi Govarikar wore a zebra printed saree but somehow it doesn't suit her well.

No Plain Janes

Now that you have seen the print selection at Amrita's wedding, have a dekkho at the ladies who chose to wear solid colours.
According to me all three look lovely. Except maybe Neelam could've chosen another fabric rather than a cotton/linen one for the ocassion? What say?
