Amrita's Nikaah Ceremony

Amrita Arora's Nikaah ceremony saw these girls in lehengas and the men went ethnic too. As stated before, Amrita wore a Vikram Phadnis outfit for this occasion, Malaika wore a Shantanu and Nikhil and Kareena a Manish Malhotra.

I think all the men looked dapper (only hitch being that Saif should've ditched those glasses!) , while Amrita could've done with some more jewellery like sister Malaika (loved her 'mang tika' and 'baju band'!). Amrita's choice of colour also could've been brighter since it was her special day. Both Kareena and Malaika looked good with lots of bangles and 'mang tika' ofcourse. Karishma chose to go simpler with diamonds and a chikan work lehenga. Though the work on it looks exquisite, if only it was in a bright colour, it would've suited the occasion perfectly. Ladies in Sarees

Amrita's official Sangeet party at night at Aurus, saw everyone in Indian attire. Have a dekkho.

Farah and Katrina chose lacy pastel hues for their saree, and paired it with chandelier earrings, deep neck sleeveless blouse and open hair.

Priyanka chose a blue Manish Malhotra saree and frankly I don't dig this much. After seeing some great stuff from this man, this one is a turn off. And well the saree doesn't suit the occasion either. The colour is looking sooo dull on Priyanka!

Sangeeta Bijlani wore a bright red and black saree with a huge nec piece and earrings. Must I say she dazzled at the event!

Diya Mirza also wore a light blue saree with gold work, earrings, sleeveless blouse, open hair - and well she looked nice!

Wedding Season

Both Ayesha Takia and Amrita Arora tied the knot this week. Have a dekkho at the two happy couples.

Ayesha wore a gold lehenga for her nikaah while Amrita wore an off-white gown (designed by Ashley Rebello) for her church wedding. Amrita's gown in off-white was made of Umelio Ungaro lace and satin and embellished with diamonds and rice pearls. It was something along the lines of an antique Versace wedding gown - old-fashioned and simple. Shakeel's outfit was designed by Shantanu and Nikhil.

Here's wishing both the couples a very happy married life.

Some Arm Candies

Here are some of the intersting bags I spotted in the last few days. Have a dekkho and tell me which one suits your style the best?

Anu Dewan carries a limited edition Ganesha cltch by Judith Leiber. I like experimenting, but wearing gods on t-shirts and sporting them in your arm is a bit awkward for me.

Farah's mom Zarine Khan carried the Prada handbag. The bag seems to be bleding too well with her outfit. If worn with a solid colour like the green on the bag, or yellow would accentuate the bag more I feel. I like this bag.

Karishma played it safe by wearing the basic black and blue combo. Though not trendy, it gives a decent basic look with this Gucci Hysteria clutch.

Amrita Arora carried a yummy orange Balenciaga bag. In fact that's the only thing that saves the look for her. If only she paired it with carefully chosen clothes, she would've looked yummy too!

Both Malaika and Amrita paired her short blue dress with black a shoe and bag. Which sister according to you wore the look better?

Designer Connection

Anushka Sharma was spotted in a Manish Malhotra outfit at a promo for RNBDJ.

While the colour and style are almost the same as the one worn by Amrita Rao at the Goa Film Festival, I am not liking the small balls on Amrita's dupatta and the pink colour on Anushka's dress. I like the fit of the chudidar for Anushka but neither of them succeed to impress me much. What say you?

While Gul was hell bent on being gifted, Amrita was looking at scaring people with her clutch with skulls! Did she mistake the premiere to be a Halloween party or something?

BTW what say on the dresses of the two ladies? Amrita in Indo-Western and Gul in a dress? Somehow my attention keeps going to the hemline(Gul's) which is very poorly finished. Seems like a local tailor has done the hemming on an urgent basis!
