Pretty In Yellow

Kareena looked stunning in this yummy yellow saree - most probably a Manish Malohtra creation. Nothing can make you look as gorgeous and sensous as this 6 yards fabric. Agreed?

Vida In Red

Vida Samadzai looked good in a red and gold saree at the Runway completion bash. Vida is the Miss Afghanistan(2003) and Ms. America (2005-2006). Runway is her her third movie in bollywood but I noticed her for the first time here!

Star Screen Awards 2008: Saree Attention

THE GOOD
Kangana looked lovely in a white and silver sari.
So did Jaya Bachchan in her white Chikan sari. The look complete with a batua.
THE AVERAGE
Rituparna SenGupta's look remained average and so did Sonali Kulkarni's.
And, THE UGLY
Suneeta Rao seemed to have misunderstood what a sari is and how it is worn. An absolute disaster!

Women in Black

iLike iLike! iLike what Sophie and Preity wore for the Drona premiere.
A tunic dress in black and red, accessorised with a red clutch and black shoes.

Preity wore a pretty lace saree in black. The colour suits her. Psst. Did you notice the huge rock on her hands?? But do you like her choice of arm candy to go with the saree?

Sarilicious!

Here is a collection of sarees by Suneet Varma whose collection I thought was the most stunning of all. Have a look and give your opinion...

I loved the black and white saree and the offiwhite one the best!
Off-white saree with subtle gold work (reminds me of Farah Khan's saree here)
Beige net saree with floral embroidery in dahses of pink and blue and gold.

The very western black white and red combo beautifully blended in an Indian saree. Notice the sequins all over to lend the bling, and the printed roses in various colours brings an intersting twist.
Ink Blue saree with a velvet blouse, scalloped borders, floral embroidery, again a stunning but a more traditional style.
This black and gold saree is a bold piece. Again black sequins on a self fabric and floral work.

Off-white Saree

Farah Khan looks lovely here at Manav Gangwani's show at HDIL Couture Week. The off-white saree, with blingy but subtle work and a well designed blouse make it great outfit. What say?

White with Colour

A lot of stars lately have been seen in White/Ivory suits with Multi-Colour bodice and Gold work - Gota style in most cases. All suits are styled as anarkalis with chudiaar. Have a dekkho and give your opinion on which one you liked the best! My fav is Katrina's and Dimple's saree.

Kangana Ranaut with the cast of Fashion, visiting the Temple.

Katrina Kaif at an event in Kolkatta. Notice the lovely tissue style goldenish fabric with stamped motifs and the paisely bodice which has been embroidered on the outlines.

Rani Mukherjee at the unveiling of the book Krishna. Notice the simple design on the neck and a net dupatta with borders.

Deepti Bhatnagar at the Saas Bahu party in Mumbai. This suit has zari border on the dupatta, daaman, neck and sleeves.

Jaya Bachan was seen in an ivory and gold anarkali at the Drona launch.

I have included Dimple's saree here because it follows the same trend of white with colours and gota lining. The saree looks lovely and bright but not over done at the same time.

I noticed this one on TV -Rakhi Sawant in an off white saree with Gold work and multi-coloured border.
