I am unable to pick one over the other here!! But I think Neeta outdid Sameera and Queenie with that bright red glossy lipstick. Queenie remains the most tolerable though her outfit is a bit too blingy here.

Some Disappointments

The style quotient at Queenie Dhody's store launch was a bit lukewarm. Here's a look at some disappointments:

Rakshanda Khan who I think is in a Swapnil Shinde here, has paired her tunic with some very bizarre looking trousers and shoes. Every piece individually is alright but together it looks a mess.

Rarely do we see Malaika going wrong with her short dresses, but this one somehow doesn't work for me.

After seeing those shoes on Madhoo, I can hardly notice anything else!

Sheetal Mafatlal loves to carry the ughh clutch in every colour! This one once again spoils the look for her.

Birkin-ing

Twinkle and Anu Dewan were also spotted with their Birkins this week. Have a dekkho.

Muli-beaded Necklace Trend

There seems to be a trend starting from Hollywood and Twinkle has adopted it here too.

The trend of wearing multi-beaded (and multi-coloured), multi-strand necklaces.

These necklaces are best worn with a bare neck (strapless or spaghetti) and solid colour- if the necklace is multi-coloured or multi-colour if the dress/top has a solid colour.

The First Lady of America - Michelle Obama wore a white and silver multi-beaded necklace in pearls, for a Governor's Dinner in Washington.

Amy Adams was spotted in a Fred Leighton necklace at the Academy Awards 2009. This is a multi-coloured necklace with gemstones.

Twinkle repeated her multi-coloured necklace twice - once with a yellow shirt and then with a brown camisole. It's a beautiful necklace and would've looked even more lovely has she worn this with a yellow camisole and kept her hair back. Such a beauty is not to be covered!

Yellow Shoes - Thumbs Up Or Down?

Action Kumar and wifey invited Kylie for a lunch during her visit to Mumbai. Akki looks great from top until your eyes catch the horrible yellow loafers. (I think this one's an LV too)

Oscars 2009: Children Edition

The young men also went the bow tie way except for Ashutosh who wore a tie. The girls look sweet in pastel dresses.

Ocsars 2009: Male Edition

All men decided to wear a black suit, white shirt and black bow except Rahman who went with a grey tie. I hear Anil is in his Armani while Dev chose a Burberry.

Once again, if they chose to wear an Indian outifut, maybe like the achkan worn by Rahman(which Rahman wore for the performance and to accept the award) and Resul, they would've looked even dapper.

PS: A big congratulations to the two men for bringing home the Oscars!

After walking to the tune of Jai Ho, Galliano now dressed the leading lady of Slumdog Millionaire - Frieda Pinto. This one shoulder blue creation looks pretty with the embroidery on net on the sleeves, but frankly I would've been over the top if I saw Frieda dressed in victorian jewellery, and a sabyasachi saree at this red carpet. Freida has been wearing the international designers for some time now and atleast this last red carpet event for SM should've been something more Indian. What do you say?
