Before I publish anything more I must acknowledge that I was chosen for an award by MySpace!! Yay!!

When I recieved the award I was ecstatic but then soon that ecstacy turned into tension and worry. My blog is very new, and I am not even sure if I deserve this award and well I do not have a list of friends to choose from! My only friends on blogosphere are all better than me and they all have already been awarded!! So in consultation with MySpace, I have decided to reserve this arward with me for a future date when I can pass it on to 7 more accomplished blogs.

Eddy in B'town

Ed Hardy has distictive and quirky styled clothes and accessories (Read Tatto art, skulls, tigers, English roses etc.). Very colourful, sometimes embellished with crystals, it is ideal to add some bling to your outfit. Designed by Christian Audigier, this brand from California, is worn by Hollywood celebrities like Madonna, Brad Pitt, Beckham, Paris Hilton to name a few. Our Bollywood seems to have got the chaska for this quirky brand too...Have a look at just a few people I spotted in Ed Hardy Tees and hoods in the last 10 days or so...

White with Colour

A lot of stars lately have been seen in White/Ivory suits with Multi-Colour bodice and Gold work - Gota style in most cases. All suits are styled as anarkalis with chudiaar. Have a dekkho and give your opinion on which one you liked the best! My fav is Katrina's and Dimple's saree.

Katrina Kaif at an event in Kolkatta. Notice the lovely tissue style goldenish fabric with stamped motifs and the paisely bodice which has been embroidered on the outlines.

Rani Mukherjee at the unveiling of the book Krishna. Notice the simple design on the neck and a net dupatta with borders.

Deepti Bhatnagar at the Saas Bahu party in Mumbai. This suit has zari border on the dupatta, daaman, neck and sleeves.

Jaya Bachan was seen in an ivory and gold anarkali at the Drona launch.

I have included Dimple's saree here because it follows the same trend of white with colours and gota lining. The saree looks lovely and bright but not over done at the same time.

I noticed this one on TV -Rakhi Sawant in an off white saree with Gold work and multi-coloured border.

Printed Act

At the Kenzo Men's showroom, Simone Singh, Mandira Bedi, Tara Sharma and once again don't-know-the-name! showed up wearing the Kenzo Summer Collection 2008.

Mandira is looking great and so is Tara. If only I could do something with the solid red neckline...Can't see their shoes so no comments there.

Just when I thought Simone is well dressed, I am shattered to see her in this version. The black almost flat gladiators do not good to the outfit as well. The length is too long for her and the baggy just doesn't suit her silhoutte.

What's in your bag?

No outfit is complete without a bag. Now I know you've seen and read many articles about who carries what in their day handbag. Now it's your turn (and mine too!) to disclose what we love to carry in our handbags. So to start with, here's my list:

• Wallet - to keep my CCs, cash, receipts, driver's license and loads of loyalty cards
• Lip liner and lipstick - I luuuvre my lipstick
• Phone
• Keys
• Business cards - for you never know who you meet where!
• A small diary - especially needy when going for meetings
• Pen
• Ninetendo DS Light - for the unexpected boring times - something entertaining!
• A small comb
• Pack of tissues
• Sunglasses' case

Spot the mistakes

Spotted at Neena Gupta's wedding, I coul'nt help putting this pic up. I am not sure of the lady's name (can you help me here?) but I can definitely see many things going wrong with her outfit. Click on the image to see a bigger clearer picture to be able to comment. The list of no-nos is long here so will need your help. I will start with a few:

• The necklace reminds me of dacoit Anguli Maar!
• Brown watch, black shoes, gold purse...
• The shoes should be open toed, or tie backs and not boots...

Dressy Tales

Mandira Bedi, Bhagyashree and Simone Singh - all three of them have managed to pull off a great look. Mandira's bag and shoe perfectly complement her dress, while for bhagyashree the bright red solid colour is nicely matched with the belt and a Fendi bag. Simone Singh looks great with the kaftan sleeved tunic with an oversiezed bag adding the bling. Way to go girls! What's your take?

Style Right or Wrong

Priyanka is looking great in this strapless pencil tube dress. The bright fabric is perfectly balanced with a simple watch and non blingy shoes. It might have looked nicer with a slight hint of jewelery either in the hand or ears. What's your verdict?

While Priyanka is making a style statement above, I am not sure what Sania is up to. The shiny fabric is blinding the eye and the least is to be said about the styling. She is capable of carrying off better stuff. BTW what do you think she is thinking here? Any clues? Is she showing off her ring or is she trying to pose with some attitude for the photographer?

And whatever happened to Aarti Chabria! How did her stylsit (assuming she has one, and yes if she does, then he/she needs to be sacked!) allow her to step out wearing this! Even though corsets are in, this one looks more like inner wear. Moreover the layers of beads and bracelets do no good to the outfit. The yellow belt is a big no no as well. C'mmon girls you can do better than this.

Dress me up

Bright colours are 'in' this season. Teaming a bright yellow with gold gives it a flashy yes elegant look.

Here is a chiffon dress with self colour embroidery on the neck and a ruched belt. Paired with a gold leaf bracelet, Juicy clutch and high heel open toe sandals by Versace, we get a million dollar look.



Could we pair the dress with more colours to use it in a different manner?
